Gentle Jazz for your functions

If you're looking for sophisticated, gentle saxophone music, you've come to the right place. Mike Laatz plays soprano, alto and tenor saxophones. He has entertained dozens of South Africa's top companies, and has played at more weddings than he can remember. He usually works alone, using top-quality backtracks (if your speakers are on, that's what you're listening to), but if the budget allows it, he works with the cream of Cape Town's musicians; most often with Eddie Kirkwood, who plays nice and gentle "tinkly" piano. Mike and Eddie are two of the very few musicians who specialise in creating ambience, rather than "in-your-face" entertainment. Their music is never too loud or intrusive, but always mellow and relaxing.

Mike's CDs have been featured as "CD of the Week" on three radio stations.
His playing featured on a Dairybelle TV ad, and one of his CDs was distributed as a promotion for the Pam Golding group.

Mike usually has several bookings every week, including restaurant functions, weddings, garden parties and corporate functions. If you need to book him and one of his bands for a function, it will be necessary to plan well ahead. He can be contacted at 021 671 8185 or 082 5328506, or by e-mail at mikelaatz@telkomsa.net
